The triathlon format, used for both the men’s and women’s Olympic events, features a 1,500m swim, 40km bike, and 10km run.
You will start with a magnificent swim in the marine lake (salt water) where after having gone around the island to exit next to the marine entrance you will pass over the dam for the transition.
The bike course leaves while skirting the marine lake, then you will race the flat roads through the Landes pines alongside Lake Sousons and through typical Landes villages.
The run features a very flat and fast course around the marine lake, then into the heart of the village of Vieux Boucau where the atmosphere will spur you on to the finish line.
