How to qualify?

Finish in the Top 6
A qualifying slot is awarded to each of the first six athletes in every male and female Age Group in the Middle Distance.

Roll-down to 12th place
If a slot is not taken by an athlete in the Top 6, it may be reallocated within the same category down to 12th place.

Invitation by email
Qualified athletes receive their invitation and personal qualification link by email after the race.

Confirm your registration
Qualification is confirmed once the athlete uses their invitation and completes their registration for THE CHAMPIONSHIP within the specified deadline.
Age Group Qualification
Down to 12th place.
If not all Top 6 athletes confirm their qualification, the roll-down system allows the available slots to be passed on to the next athletes in the same category. Roll-down may continue down to 12th place.
Pro Athletes
THE CHAMPIONSHIP also has a dedicated qualification system for Challenge Family professional athletes.
Professional Men
Top 6

A qualifying slot is awarded to each of the first six male professional finishers according to THE CHAMPIONSHIP qualification rules applicable to Challenge Family races.

Professional Women
Top 6

A qualifying slot is awarded to each of the first six female professional finishers according to THE CHAMPIONSHIP qualification rules applicable to Challenge Family races.
